INVITATION TO BID
1.01 PROJECT INFORMATION
A. Notice to Bidders: Pre-qualified bidders are invited to submit bids for the Project as described in this Document according to the Instructions to Bidders.
B. Project Identification: Fernandina Beach High School Bleacher and Press Box
Replacement.
1. Project Location: 435 Citrona Drive, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034.
C. Owner: Nassau County School District
1. Owner's Representative: Dr. Trey Robertson, Director of Facilities
D. Architect: Altman + Barrett Architects, 10245 Centurion Parkway North, Suite 105, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
E. Project Description: Construction of a new permanent home team bleacher system with a seating capacity of 2,650 spectators. In addition, the project includes the design and installation of a new home team press box equipped with an in-tegrated sound system.
F. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work:
1. General Contract (all trades).
1.02 BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING
A. Owner will receive sealed bids until the bid time and date at the location indicat-ed below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows:
1. Advertise Dates: September 10, 17, and 24, 2025.
2. Bid Date: October 07, 2025.
3. Bid Time: 2:00 p.m., local time.
4. Location: 86334 Goodbread Road, Yulee, Florida 32097.
Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud to furnish all labor and materials for the construction of:

1.03 BID SECURITY
A. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of [5] percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of [60] days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
1.04 PREBID MEETING
A. A MANDATORY Pre-bid Meeting for all bidders will be held at Fernandina Beach High School on September 26 at 10:00 a.m., local time. The purpose of the meeting will be to familiarize the bidders with the existing conditions, scope of work and special conditions, if any. Questions will be accepted and answered at the meeting. A sign-in sheet will be maintained by the architect/engineer for the purpose of certifying that a representative of the bidder was present at the meeting. Bidders not attending the pre-bid meeting will not be permitted to submit a bid.
1.05 DOCUMENTS
A. Printed Procurement and Contracting Documents: Obtain after September 10, 2025, by contacting Altman + Barrett Architects; 10245 Centurion Parkway, Suite 105, Jacksonville, Florida 32256 or by calling (904) 647-7867. Documents will be provided to prime bidders only; only complete sets of documents will be issued.
B. Viewing Procurement and Contracting Documents: Examine on or after September 10, 2025 at www.altmanbarrettarchitects.com.
1.06 TIME OF COMPLETION
A. Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Project approval is anticipated to occur on October 09, 2025, for purposes of submittal review and material acquisition. Construction is expected to begin immediately after Board Approval. Project completion is expected prior to August 01, 2026.
1.07 BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS
A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the accepted bid amount, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
B. Only Contractors having been pre-qualified by the Nassau County School District are eligible to submit bids for this project. Only pre-qualified Contractors should submit bids for this project (Florida Statutes).
C. Florida Statutes require that all contractual personnel who are permitted access on school grounds when students are present must meet Level 2 screening requirements as described in S1012.32, Florida Statutes.
