A scared dog scurries across a busy intersection, not sure where to go or how to get away from the loud, fast-moving vehicles. Drivers may call 911, but the officers that usually come out to rescue the animals belong to a different government entity.

BOCC approves execution of $1.5M grant from FDOT

A sharp turn that drivers in Nassau County have taken for years is finally going to be improved with the help of a $1.5 million grant from the Florida Department of Transportation.

Nassau County clerk announces retirement

After decades of public service, Clerk John A. Crawford has announced his retirement, effective at the end of this current term. Crawford has served as the Nassau County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller for four consecutive terms, beginning January 2005.

2024 solar eclipse: What will we see in Florida?

A total solar eclipse will slice a diagonal line across North America today, April 8, 2024. The Sunshine State, true to its name, will not be in the path of totality, but that doesn't mean we won't see anything at all. The sun will be obscured 57% at the maximum eclipse visible in Florida.

Yulee High wins third straight annual Constitution Bowl

Yulee High School dominated the Constitution Bowl on Wednesday, leading the five-team competition wire to wire to claim the title. In the first 30-minute round, Yulee scored 108 points, while a team of home-educated students finished second with 86.
