When Betty Berkman learned that playground equipment at Central Park had been removed for safety reasons, she believed it was fitting, according to City Commissioner Bradley Bean, to honor her late husband by making a sizable donation to the city to provide better equipment.

On Monday, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Final Development Plan (FDP) for phase six of Woodbridge, a large-scale residential project estimated to bring 551 units to the eastern side of County Road 107.
While the focus of this project centers around the football field, site plans for the recreation facility indicated the owners wish to construct three additional multipurpose courts, one of which would be surrounded by more than 800 bleacher seats. Submitted.
