Commission begins work on 2022-23 city budget

The Fernandina Beach City Commission will begin working on a budget for the 2022-23 fiscal year, after approving a tentative millage rate the same as for the previous year. The millage rate for the 2021-22 fiscal year was 5.

BOCC scores win-win on tentative millage rate

The Board of County Commissioners touted a big win Monday during an early round of Fiscal Year 2022/2023 budget discussions by adopting a reduced tentative millage rate.

Amelia Musical Playhouse will wrap up its ninth season with the production of Chicago. This show is the high school version, starring 28 local teens and featuring an 8-piece orchestra. This production is true to the original Broadway musical with simple costumes and a black box set.

Florida gas prices down 18 cents over past week

Summer art project encourages kindness

The Amelia Island Convention and Visitors Bureau, or AICVB, has partnered with Arts & Culture Nassau to create a traveling mural for visitors and locals alike to enjoy while discovering Amelia Island.
