Worldwide Terminals, operator of Port, sold

Worldwide Terminals Fernandina and its subsidiary, Nassau Terminals, has been sold to Transportation Infrastructure Partners, a joint venture of Ridgewood Infrastructure and Savage, a supply chain company, for an undisclosed amount.

Court is in session: Students serve in Teen Court

Dillon Wagner is going into his senior year at Fernandina Beach High School. He spends his free time volunteering as an attorney for the State of Florida. In Teen Court, Nassau County high schoolers have the chance to get an up-close look at how the justice system works by participating in it.

NCSD receives “A” on year-end report card

The Nassau County School District received its report card this week and brought home an A plus. The Florida Department of Education released its scores for all 67 school districts this week.  The Nassau County School District ranks second out of those 67 schools.

Affordable housing committee adds new members

The Board of County Commissioners passed a resolution on Monday night to add four new members to the Essential Housing and Advisory Committee (EHAC) — Nassau County’s answer to the workforce housing crisis plaguing this growing community.
