Puppies and kittens are getting out and about during visits to county departments, beginning with Fire and Emergency Operations. A pet was adopted on each trip.

This home on South Fourth Street sits on property that could become the site of a project to build 12 townhomes. The homes on the site, Historic District Chair Mike Spino said, were built by Italian immigrants who helped build the shrimping industry and should be preserved. People living in the neighborhood are opposing the project.
