Pope to receive $8,000 pay raise

For the second year in a row, the Board of County Commissioners gave County Manager Taco Pope an extensive evaluation prior to salary discussions held Wednesday, Oct. 19.

Union asking WestRock for cost of living raise

NCSD, NCSB promise oversight committee

Assuming voters decide to accept the additional 1 mill tax to benefit the school district in November, the Nassau County School District and the Nassau County School Board have promised to form a Citizens Oversight Committee together for the additional income.

Local state of emergency extended to Oct. 21

On Monday, Oct. 17, the Board of County Commissioners unanimously voted to extend the local state of emergency placed on Nassau County due to Hurricane Ian. First enacted on Sept.

County saves big on flood insurance

Nassau County’s flood insurance premium saw a significant reduction this year thanks to county staff’s efforts with FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program.
