The purpose of the meeting will be to familiarize the bidders with the existing conditions, scope of work and spe- cial conditions, if any. Questions will be accepted and answered at the meeting. A sign-in sheet will be maintained by the architect/engineer for the purpose of certifying that a representative of the bidder was present at the meeting. Bidders not attending the pre-bid meeting will not be permitted to submit a bid.

Construction is expected to begin on November 01, 2024. Project completion is expected prior to February 28, 2025.

1.07 BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS

A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Per- formance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insur- ance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bid- der.

B. Only Contractors having been pre-qualified by the Nassau County School District  are eligible to submit bids for this project. Only pre-qualified Contractors should submit bids for this project (Florida Statutes).

C. Florida Statutes require that all contractual personnel who are permitted access on school grounds when students are present must meet Level 2 screening re- quirements as described in S1012.32, Florida Statutes.

DISCRIMINATION: An entity or affiliate who has been placed on the discriminatory vendor list may not submit a bid on a contract to provide goods or services to a public entity, may not submit a bid on a contract with a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work, may not submit bids on leases of real property to public entity, may not award or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under contract with any public entity, and may not transact business with any public entity.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and minor technicalities or to reject any and all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, a Bid Bond or Cashier's Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid price, payable to the Owner.
