Nassau County approves Flood Adaptation Plan

Nassau County is taking steps to boost its flood resiliency. The Board of County Commissioners approved two items at its May 20 meeting that staff said will assist the county in just that.

Budget talks set to begin in June

Nassau County has set the date for their first budget talks for the upcoming fiscal year. On June 22, the Board of County Commissioners will join county staff in a workshop to discuss the 2026-27 Fiscal Year budget. The 9 a.m. meeting will be held at the James S. Page Governmental Complex.

The 7th Judicial Circuit District State Attorney’s Office is seeking the death penalty for a Callahan man accused of the shooting death of two people at a Ponte Vedra Beach Walgreens in March, the agency said in a press release Wednesday.
