Sold out Big Band Bash swings hard

Scout Troop 152 earns Top Unit Award

Recently, Troop 152 of Yulee was honored to earn the Top Unit Award for Sabol District of North Florida Council for 2022 out of 105 units in the district. They also earned Top Troop for 2022 as well.

Wildlight Market Place showcases ‘Booth with a Cause’

The Fernandina Beach Market Place and the Wildlight Market Place will both be open Saturday. Fernandina's market is located on North Seventh Street in historic downtown, and the Wildlight market is located at 123 Tinker St. in Yulee. Both markets are open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

NOAA: Va. Beach right whale died of vessel strike

A necropsy conducted on a North Atlantic right whale found dead in Virginia Beach this week determined the animal died of blunt force trauma consistent with a vessel strike. The whale, a 20-year-old male almost 43 feet in length and weighing an estimated 70 tons, washed ashore Monday, Feb. 13.
