NCSB approves spending

The Nassau County School Board approved a graphic of the spending plan for a proposed millage to be voted on in November. While the board has already approved its tentative budget, another estimated $13 million would be added should the millage referendum pass.

News-Leader wins again at FPA contest

The Florida Press Association announced the winners of its annual Weekly Newspaper Contest, where the News-Leader brought home four awards. “I am so very proud of the News-Leader team and the state recognition they have received,” publisher Foy Maloy said.

Rutherford requests NOAA suspend red snapper decisions

After a recreational red snapper season of only two days, Congressman John Rutherford and Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy requested the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration suspend further closures off Florida’s coasts until additional data is received.
