Group files suit against city to stop development on Tringali property

Members of the advocacy group Stop the Domino Effect have filed a lawsuit against the city of Fernandina Beach in an attempt to stop the development of townhouses downtown on what is commonly known as the Tringali property.

On a beautiful day full of sunshine and no rain in sight for miles, the Peck High School class of 1959 visited fellow classmate Johnnie Mae Van at Bayview Nursing Home in Jacksonville, Fla. Others might visit, but none like this.

City hopes to work with county to build new soccer complex

The Fernandina Beach City Commission is moving ahead with a plan to ensure the 700 youth soccer players in the county will have a field to use when the Ybor Alvarez Sports Complex is developed for aeronautical use.
