Janet H. Adkins, Nassau County Supervisor of Elections, announces that her office recently received guidance from the Florida Department of State indicating that any vote-by-mail request made before the Nov. 8, 2022, General Election, has expired. Out of an abundance of caution, they have consulted with legal counsel multiple times. The Department of State gave the office multiple interpretations of the legislative changes.

They are working to protect the right to vote and provide opportunities to those voters who requested to vote-by-mail by sending a letter to the 12,225 voters who requested a ballot for the 2024 Election cycle.

Any eligible voter who would like to request a vote-by-mail ballot can:

  • Call 904-491-7500 to request a 2024 vote-by-mail ballot
  • Visit https://www.votenassaufl.gov/vote-by-mail-request-form or
  • Scan the QR Code to access the vote-by-mail request form on the website.

The Nassau County Elections office continually strives to build trust, create transparency in the elections process, and promote communication with the voters of Nassau County.

"My staff and I are committed to protecting every citizen’s right to vote. We encourage every voter to Get Election Ready as we look ahead and prepare for 2024,” Adkins said.
