Beautiful day for a sailboat race

What a beautiful day to be on the water in Cumberland Sound, and even better to be racing a sailboat. The Amelia Island Sailing Club hosted its fifth race of the 2023 season on Saturday. Eight sailboats came to the starting line in front of Fort Clinch for the 10 a.m. start.

BOCC approves money moves

As construction projects across the county move forward, the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners signed off on moving money around to fund both the projects and the county’s conservation land conservation plan. The first move came when the board voted to approve reallocating $254,137.
