NOAA announces two-day red snapper season

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced a two-day recreational season for Atlantic red snapper after months of pushback from recreational fishermen. The recreational season will be July 14 and 15 of this year.

A cup for the cause: Keep Nassau Beautiful distributes over 36,000 reusable cups

Through the use of reusable aluminum cups, Keep Nassau Beautiful has kept over 36,000 plastic, single-use cups from littering Amelia Island’s streets, beaches and waters. The nonprofit first launched the initiative last fall, calling it the #ReFillNassauFL campaign.

Advance America celebrates in Yulee
