Golf course questions dominate candidate forum

The Fernandina Golf Course Advisory Board, a citizen group that advises the city commission on matters pertaining to the city-owned Fernandina Beach Golf Club, held a forum to give candidates for the two seats up for grabs on the city commission an opportunity to address their concerns.

YMS student arrested after bringing gun to school

A 13-year-old was arrested last week after it was discovered he had brought a gun and ammunition to Yulee Middle School. According to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department, a school official received a tip that a student had a gun in their backpack.
