County responds to project funding criticism

Despite already breaking ground on American Beach’s Septic-to-Sewer, criticisms continued to be hurled at county officials, in particular why no American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds were used for the water/sewer infrastructure project.

Marching Wildcats bring home the gold

Tribune & Georgian The Camden County High School Marching Band was named the Grand Champions of the Okefenokee Sound of Gold Marching Competition on Oct. 22. The band scored a 97.0 in its historic win and collected a seven-foot-tall trophy.

In October 1997, 25 years ago, Jill and Ken Baxter were married at the Hoyt House in Fernandina Beach. Now, they’ve come back to celebrate the time they’ve spent together. It all started with a blind date.

Pirates travel to Baker; Hornets take on host Warriors

The 4-4 Pirates travel to Baker County tonight, and the 4-4 Hornets head to Callahan to take on the West Nassau Warriors. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. The Yulee High School football team is coming off its 21-14 win over the Fernandina Beach Pirates Monday night.
