The Board of Directors at Amelia Community Theatre hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Chili Dinner on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the theater. Volunteers were treated to dinner, music by Sonofarious and an awards and recognition ceremony.

On Saturday, 45 Nassau County middle and high school students performed in an All District Band Concert held at Atlantic Coast High School in Jacksonville. “There were three different bands - Middle School Honor Band, High School Nomination Band, and High School Honor Band.

FBPD arrests man for attempted murder

The Fernandina Beach Police Department arrested a man on charges of attempted murder and tampering with a witness Jan. 24. Officers took Christopher Bagley, 51, into custody after responding to a possible battery, with the victim being at Baptist Nassau Medical Center.
