A fire in Yulee claimed the father and son of a local woman Monday. Nassau County Fire Chief Brady Rigdon said his department was called at 5:35 a.m. to a fire on Phillips Road in Yulee.

The Fernandina Beach Planning Advisory Board is not ready to approve changes to the city’s Land Development Code crafted by the city’s Conservation and Planning Department; members said they want to have workshops to study the amendments and determine what their effect would be.
