National Weather Service meteorologist Danny Dubois said the service received calls from the Woodbridge Park area of Nassau County on Sunday, but no reports of the high winds that blew down trees on Atlantic Avenue in Fernandina Beach.

Watson aces 7th hole at Amelia

Jim Watson of Fernandina Beach was playing golf with his golfing buddies, the Amelia Island Marauders, at the Amelia River Golf Club on Tuesday, when he shot a hole-in-one on the par-three seventh hole, which played 146 yards. Watson used a 6 iron and a Titleist Pro V 1X golf ball.
