Remember she sheds? I fell in love with the concept immediately. A she shed would provide me with a wonderful place to write. It would be just far enough removed from the demands and distractions of the house, but not so far as to require dressing for the day.

Florida's latest laws: Protection or overreach?

My respect for Florida's legislative process runs deep, though sometimes it troubles my soul. As I review the 9 new laws taking effect in 2025, outlined in today's News-Leader, I see both wisdom and worry. Each statute carries weight that will touch our community in both subtle and profound ways.

You’ve got to love a vehicle whose full model name has so many vowels. If the entire moniker was written in chrome across the trunk, it would be as wide as the taillights. Of course Alfa Romeo kept its design principles intact and simply stated Tonale in a stylish script under the Alfa Romeo logo.
