When we feel like we’ve got the weight of the world on our shoulders, it’s always good to share that weight with someone else.
There are times in our lives when we feel so all alone, when we feel we can’t’ go on. We may think there is nothing to be thankful for, but just look around, and think things over. There are numerous things that should come back to us. Let us think of things that have made a difference, if not in our lives, but in the lives of someone we know.
Let’s remember the good as well as the bad, because without the bad, there would be no good. Every day is a day of thanksgiving, if we can’t think of anything, just be thankful for life. For whatever state you’re in be thankful, there’s someone worse off than you.
As we celebrate this holiday season, always teach our children the true reason for the season. We are always celebrating the birth of Christ, and we should always keep Him in our Christmas. Here are a few things to have a blessed Christmas:
- Never leave Christ out of Christmas making it Xmas. To some, Xmas is an unknown.
- Prepare your soul for Christmas, spend not so much on gifts that thou soul is forgotten.
- Do not burden the shop girl, the mailman, and the merchant with complaints and demands.
- Five thyself with thy gifts, this will increase it’s value a hundred fold, and he who receiveth it shall treasure it forever.
- Thou shalt not value gifts received by their cost. Even the least expensive may signify love and that is more priceless than silver or gold.
- Do not neglect the needy, share they blessings with the many who will go hungry and cold unless thou are generous.
- Thou shalt not neglect thy church, it’s services highlight the true meaning of the season.
- Thou shalt be as a little child. Not until thou has become in spirit as a little one, art thou ready to enter into the kingdom of heaven.
- Thy shalt give thy heart to Christ, let Him be at the top of your Christmas list.
We know that anyone keeping the commandments is sure to have a blessed Christmas. It’s all right for Sant Claus to come to town, as long as he brings the gifts of God with him.
Blessings to everyone, please keep Christ in your Christmas and allow Him to continue to bless you.
