Hornets blank Warriors, raise record to 5-0

The undefeated beat goes on for Yulee High School’s varsity team. The Hornets shut down the West Nassau Warriors on a warm but breezy Friday night, 17-0, in a non-conference clash of unbeatens.

Yulee swim prevails over Pirates, Wildcats; Pirate girls take first

Pirate and Hornet swimmers faced off with Baker County High School Wildcats on Sept. 11.  Yulee High School finished first overall with 243 combined points. Fernandina Beach finished second with 238 points, followed by Baker County with 140.

Run game shines as Pirates overcome late comeback after missed PAT

As the Fort White Indians scored with a few minutes left, it left the Fernandina Beach Pirates’ undefeated record threatened by overtime.

Hornets swarm Phoenix, lift record to 4-0

It hasn’t mattered whether their games are home or away. Yulee High School’s varsity team finds a way to prevail. The Hornets took their act on the road – all the way to Lake Wales – but maintained their unbeaten mark to the tune of 47-0.

A new Schlierf in town for Hornets golf team 

Yulee High School’s golf team has recently started their new season along with new coach Greg Schlierf.  About his coaching philosophy, Schlierf explained his focus on “smart play.” “I want the boys to focus on making the best possible shots and not take the unnecessary risks,” he said.

Fernandina Beach thoroughly defeated Duval Charter School Panthers at home Friday in 56-6 beatdown that opened with three quick scores to improve to 4-0.

Hornets sting Indians to remain perfect

YULEE — Yulee High School’s varsity football team rallied on a warm, dry Friday night to keep its spotless record intact. Coach Kyle Dougherty's Hornets, representing 3A District 3, upped their season mark to 3-0 with a 19-12 victory over Charlton County (Ga.) in a non-district contest.

The Jacksonville Jaguars claimed their 26-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers in the first game of the season. The win broke the historically even record between the two teams who had been 4-4 head to head and set the bar high for the Jaguars next game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
