PAB denies replat request, recommends sending it to BOA

Whether a new townhome development will be built on the edges of the historic district of the city of Fernandina Beach still remains undecided, as the city’s Planning Advisory Board denied the developer’s request for a replat of the property, referring it to the city’s Board of Adjustment.

The Ocean Highway and Port Authority said it will have two calls by cruise ships in the spring, one carrying 200 passengers and one with roughly 500 passengers, but OHPA commissioners have reservations about receiving larger ships.

There are five Saturdays in December, so the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market and the Fernandina Beach Arts Market will be open on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, but Dec. 17 will be the final Wildlight Market Place for 2022.
