CASE CLOSED: County, Rayonier settle suit

Nassau County and Raydient, LLC — a subsidiary of Rayonier — have reached a settlement in a lawsuit regarding misconduct by former County Attorney Mike Mullin in early 2018, nearly five years ago.

Thank you to all the Nassau County citizens who participated in the 2022 elections. Our office is grateful to our election workers, who successfully and safely conducted three elections in 2022. Voter turnout for the general election was 63.23%, one of the highest in the northeast Florida area.

Operation Keystroke perps plead guilty

Of the 11 men arrested in the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office Operation Keystroke, two have pleaded guilty to reduced charges. Khalil Nether and Jeremy Kinsey have both changed their pleas since originally pleading not guilty.

As education continues to evolve in Florida, the Nassau County School District is working to keep up, recently updating its policy regarding approval of instructional materials.
