City commission approves replat; allows townhome development on Tringali property

Despite pleas from residents who filled city hall opposing the development of townhouses in downtown Fernandina Beach, the city commission voted to approve the construction on streets adjacent to the city’s Historic District.

Georgia passes act to protect right to fish

Georgia lawmakers have signed into law a bill protecting anglers’ right to fish in navigable waters, such as the St. Marys River bordering Nassau County. Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed Senate Bill 115 into law late last Monday.
