This past weekend 20,000 people came out to the Right Whale Festival in support of one of the most critically endangered species on earth. Whale experts educated the public, vendors sold sustainable whale themed goods and kids ran around with their faces painted like sea mammals.

Supervisor of Elections Office returns $666,480.93 to BOCC

The 2022-23 fiscal year ended on Sept. 30, 2023. Supervisor of Elections Janet H. Adkins returned $666,480.93 of the previous year’s budget to the Board of County Commissioners.
“We are committed to allocating our resources to improve the voting process for Nassau County Voters,” said Janet H.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is proposing changes to its vessel speed rules designed to protect North Atlantic right whales. The changes would broaden the boundaries and timing of seasonal speed restriction areas along the U.S.
