Nassau County is requesting that Florida Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia send data and meet with county leaders, following a press conference Ingoglia held last week in Fernandina Beach in which he said Nassau County’s 2024-’25 budget included $53,031,730 of “wasteful spending.

BOCC gives ‘unified’ response to CFO comments on ‘wasteful spending’ in Nassau County

The Nassau County Board of County Commissioners said Friday it is “unified” in disputing claims made by Florida’s Chief Financial Officer on Wednesday.

Ingoglia weighs in on Nassau County impact fees

A couple of local issues were brought up at the Wednesday press conference held at the Residence Inn by Marriott: Downtown paid parking in Fernandina Beach and Nassau County impact fees.

NCSO: An 'undetermined death' has occurred along SR 200

Nassau County Sheriff's Office said there was an undetermined death Friday morning along State Road 200. The sheriff's office posted a release just after noon that said it was investigating an undetermined death outside John Muir Ecological Park along State Road 200 in Yulee.

DeSantis fills two judicial seats in Nassau

Gov. Ron DeSantis made two judicial appointments Tuesday, filling the newly-created Nassau County Court judge seat and a vacant Fourth Judicial Circuit Court seat.  Sarah Bell, a state assistant attorney general, will serve in Nassau’s second County Judge seat.
