Fernandina Beach city manager resigns

Fernandina Beach City Manager Ty Ross, after due consideration, resigned from the city’s employ, effective Friday December 15, 2023. The city commission has since appointed Deputy City Manager/Engineer Charles L. George, P.E., as interim, effective December 16, 2023.

Christmas Fair and Farmers Markets this weekend

The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) released school grades this week for the 2022-23 school year. Nassau County School District has received an A grade for the academic year.

Dump truck flips

Eastbound lanes on SR 200 were closed just before the intracoastal Waterway (ICW) bridge yesterday afternoon, caused by a dump truck that had flipped over. Nassau County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) helped direct traffic. Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.  “Just after 3:30 p.m.
