The home decor and clothing store Chacato held a grand reopening on Wednesday after revamping their store on the south end of Amelia Island.

Tringali building permits officially repealed 

The City of Fernandina Beach’s Board of Adjustment (BOA) unanimously voted to repeal the building permits issued for the Tringali property at their meeting last Wednesday.

New Take Stock in Children director talks mission

Take Stock in Children of Nassau County has a new leader at its helm, whose goal is to continue providing mentors and scholarships for more than 150 students. Executive Director Alexis Holton has been on the job for about a month.

The Friends of Fernandina Skate Park hosted the fourth annual Hispanic Heritage Food Festival in downtown Fernandina Beach on Saturday.  The event had 24 different vendors with a variety of cuisines from which to choose, including Panamanian, Peruvian, Venezuelan, Argentinian, Mexican and more.

Kitchen 251 finds new home on Beech Street

Kitchen 251, the waterfront restaurant situated on the Amelia Island Marina, has announced its official relocation to the vacant building at 801 Beech St. in Fernandina Beach.

The domestic violence center Micah’s Place partnered with Keep Nassau Beautiful to plant two little gem magnolia trees in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
