The Fernandina Beach Youth Football Association is hosting the first of three free football camps this summer. The first camp was held Monday through today at Buccaneer Field. Campers learn football fundamentals, run drills and meet the coaches and volunteers for the season. Follow Fernandina Beach Youth Football Association on Facebook for information. Other sports camps are being offered in Fernandina Beach and Yulee. 

SUMMER CAMPS in Fernandina and Yulee:

YHS cheer
The Little Hornet Cheer Camp, hosted by the Yulee High School cheerleaders, will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. July 24-25. Campers will work on motions, jumps and stunting and will per-form for their parents the last day of camp. Cost is $50 cash only and includes a T-shirt. Hornet Academy
The Hornet Academy baseball camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 19-22 at the Yulee High School baseball field off Miner Road. Cost is $100 per camper. For information, contact head coach Fred Matricardi at 904-894-1488 or fredmatricardi@yahoo.com.

Soccer training
Soccer Made In America training camp is from 9 a.m. to noon June 19-23 at Hickory Street Park for boys and girls ages 4-17. Professional soccer training covering technical and tacti-cal training, with emphasis on motivation, confidence, leadership and game smarts. Camp T-shirt for all partici-pants and awards ceremony on Friday. Bring a soccer ball, drink bottle and shin guards. Registration fee is $225 per player. Pirate P.E.
Fernandina Beach High School will offer a P.E. Camp in the gym this summer. Camp is open from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday June 19-22, June 26-29, July 10-13, July 17-20 and July 24-27. The camp is open to children ages 5-14, and the cost is $100 cash. Registration is from 8-9 a.m. Mondays of each camp. Campers should wear athletic clothes and bring a snack and water bottle. The camp will offer a variety of physical education activities, including tag, scooters and parachute play as well as a variety of modified sports. FBHS volleyball
The Fernandina Beach High School volleyball team will hold a camp from 1-4 p.m. July 25-26 in the gym. Learn and fine-tune the skills of volleyball in a fun and engaging way.
