Fernandina Beach Police Department responded to a fatal incident on Fletcher Ave. on Thursday night.
A 21-year-old Fernandina Beach man was killed when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a stopped car on Fletcher Avenue on Thursday night. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man crashed into an SUV that was stopped while the driver of the second vehicle was unhitching a trailer around 9:30 p.m. Fernandina Beach Police Officers arrived on the scene and performed CPR until Fernandina Beach Fire Department arrived. The motorcycle operator was pronounced deceased, according to FBPD. The driver of the second vehicle was uninjured. FBPD turned the case over to FHP for investigation.
