The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) has issued a precautionary boil water notice for customers located in portions of the Nassau-Amelia Water System on Amelia Island.
Due to a planned maintenance project that required a temporary interruption of water service, customers in the affected area are advised to bring all water intended for drinking, cooking, food preparation, brushing teeth, or making ice to a rolling boil for at least one minute before use. Bottled water may also be used as an alternative.
The notice will remain in effect until bacteriological testing confirms the water meets all state drinking water standards. Test results are typically available within two to three business days following restoration of service.
Customers will be notified when the boil water notice is lifted.

- Shipwatch Villas, Buildings A & B (1301-1394 Shipwatch Circle)
- Piper Dunes (1501-1546)
- Sea Dunes (1601-1677)
- Dunes Club (1701-1777)
- Turtle Dunes (1801-1877)
A total of 366 residential units are affected.
