Fall Fest back in Fernandina Beach

The City of Fernandina Beach is hosting its second annual Fall Fest from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 26 at Atlantic Rec. Center.

A sensory hour will be from noon to 1 p.m.

“We will have games, prizes, treats, a floating pumpkin patch activity at the pool, and more!” the city posted on social media.

The pumpkin patch along with snacks such as popcorn and sno-cones will be an additional fee, which must be paid by cash. Food trucks will also be on site for the event.

“We were very successful last year with our floating pumpkin patch,” according to the post.

Things will be a little different this year. The pumpkin patch will have ticket times for when people can jump in the pool and pick their pumpkins.

Each ticketed individual will have 30 minutes to jump in the pool and pick their pumpkin. City staff will help attendees dry off the pumpkins.

There will then be stations available to decorate pumpkins with

There will also be games, hay rides, prizes, cake walk, pumpkin smash, touch-a-truck and more for residents to enjoy.
