A fire in Yulee claimed the father and son of a local woman Monday.
Nassau County Fire Chief Brady Rigdon said his department was called at 5:35 a.m. to a fire on Phillips Road in Yulee. Rigdon said he had few details, other than there were two fatalities at the fire, which destroyed a double-wide trailer. He said the Florida Fire Marshal’s office is conducting an investigation.
There has been a Go Fund Me account set up by Destiny Bramsted. Destiny Bransted said she set up an account on the fundraising website on behalf of her brother, William Bramsted, and his mother, Jessica Paraday-Wheeldon. The post says Jessica Paraday-Wheeldon’s brother’s home was the location of the fire and that her father, Carlton Wheeldon, and her 16-year-old son, Blake Hendricks, died in the fire.
The Nassau County Fire Department had not released additional information as of press deadline Tuesday. The News-Leader will include information about the fire as it becomes available.
