The familiar ring of holiday bells will soon echo through Nassau County as The Salvation Army Hope House modernizes its legendary Red Kettle Campaign with a new digital volunteer registration system.
“Every penny raised during our Red Kettle Campaign directly supports vital services for families in need across our community,” said Richard Thompson, program director of The Salvation Army Nassau County Hope House. “This year, we’re making it easier than ever for volunteers to join this cherished holiday tradition.”
The organization has launched www.registertoring.com, allowing community members to quickly select their preferred time slots and locations across Fernandina Beach, Yulee, Callahan and Hilliard. The platform streamlines the volunteer registration process that has historically required phone calls or in-person sign-ups.
Funds raised through the campaign support crucial local programs, including an emergency food pantry, clothes closet and financial assistance for families facing hardship. The Salvation Army Hope House also operates youth-focused initiatives like Senior Angel Tree and Camp Keystone.
“Bell ringing is more than collecting donations – it’s about spreading hope,” explains Thompson. “Whether volunteers bring musical instruments, wear festive costumes or simply share warm smiles, each shift makes a meaningful difference in our community.”
Community members interested in volunteering can visit www.registertoring.com or contact The Salvation Army Hope House at 904-321-0435 for additional information.
