The highly anticipated resurfacing of SR 200 project has begun, starting earlier than originally scheduled by the Florida Department of Transportation.
FDOT issued a media release stating that resurfacing between O'Neil Scott Road and the Amelia River, Thomas J. Shave Jr. Bridge, commenced Monday.
Improvements being made during work include "milling and resurfacing, shoulder treatment, guardrail, highway signing and other incidental construction."
FDOT said no lane closures will be allowed 6 a.m. through 7 p.m., but drivers can expect single lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.
