With Election Day approaching on Nov. 5, Florida voters are showing strong early participation, particularly in Northeast Florida, where Nassau County is a leader with nearly 55% voter turnout.
“I am thrilled to see Nassau County voters turn out to vote,” said Supervisor of Elections Janet Adkins in a statement to the News-Leader. “Nearly 15,000 voters cast their ballot during our first three days of early voting. We now have 55% voter turnout, one of the highest turnout rates in Florida. I encourage voters to use our Vote Nassau FL voter app to check the wait times at our early voting locations. During early voting, you can vote at any location – which may be more convenient than your assigned polling location on Election Day. I am grateful for our wonderful staff and election workers, who are working tirelessly to serve voters.”

More than 6.2 million Floridians have already cast their ballots through early voting or mail-in options – approaching half of the state’s 14 million registered voters, according to the Thursday morning report from the Florida Division of Elections. Republicans have shown stronger early voting numbers with 1.9 million ballots cast compared to Democrats’ one million. Additionally, more than 730,000 No Party Affiliation voters and 88,000 “other” party voters have participated.
This level of early participation aligns with recent trends – in 2020, nearly 80% of Florida voters cast their ballots before Election Day, according to the Florida Division of Elections.
