Fernandina Beach in State of Emergency until at least Thursday

The state of emergency is due to “extraordinary and unprecedented” rainfall that “overwhelmed the city’s stormwater system and entered the city’s wastewater system,” a news release from Interim City Manager Jeremiah Glisson said.
