Amelia Island’s seventh annual SantaCon, which took place on Saturday, Dec. 16, marked a triumphant celebration in 2023 with an unprecedented turnout that exceeded all previous records. The event, a lively Santa-themed pub crawl, continued its tradition of supporting the Nassau County Salvation Army Hope House. Local real estate experts Garrett Sharpe and Gerrett Lewis, representing Florida Homes Realty and Mortgage, orchestrated the event’s success and garnered widespread attention through a dedicated website.
The official stops along the festive route, including The Alley by AIBC, the Green Turtle Tavern, the Palace Saloon, Shipyard and Hammerhead Beach Bar, featured donation boxes to collect canned goods and toiletries for the benefit of the Salvation Army Hope House.
Beyond the numerical achievements, the true triumph of SantaCon lay in the collective spirit of holiday giving that permeated the atmosphere. Participants, adorned in Santa gear, not only contributed to the record-breaking turnout, but also spread joy and Christmas cheer throughout the community. A sincere thank you extends to everyone who played a role in making SantaCon 2023 a resounding success.
The overwhelming generosity of our community and the infectious joy of SantaCon have left us eagerly anticipating the festivities that will undoubtedly unfold in the coming year. Until then, we reflect on the heartwarming memories created during this extraordinary celebration.
