The list of those interested in running for Fernandina Beach City Commission is growing. Scott Inglis is the most recent addition to the list of potential candidates.
Fernandina Beach Digital Communications Manager Mary Hamburg confirmed Friday that Inglis filled out his paperwork to be a candidate. Inglis is the chair of the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival.
He joins Len Kreger who also has filled out forms to run for commissioner. Kreger is a retired U.S. Marine and has previously served on the city commission and as vice-mayor of Fernandina Beach. He termed out of the commission after his second stint. Currently, he serves on the Board of Adjustments.
Vice-mayor Darron Ayscue also has pre-filed to run as an incumbent to be re-elected to his seat on the commission.
The official qualifying period is set for May 11-15 for the August election.
