Projects
- New sidewalk and curbing is being installed along North Seventh Street in the downtown area this week. This will improve walkability and provide for the framework for additional parking.
- The Fernandina Beach Marina has been replacing wooden decking and upgrading security systems within the marina.
- Restaurants and other businesses that are required to have grease traps will receive notices that all maintenance reports will be directed to BSI, Inc. BSI has partnered with the city for compliance and record keeping.
News
- The Youth Advisory Committee meets at 3 p.m. on Aug. 28.
- The city of Fernandina Beach will host a Town Hall meeting on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 6 p.m. in City Hall chambers to discuss shared use of Central Park’s open green space. All are welcome to attend.
- Thursday, Aug. 29 is Golf Day at the Fernandina Beach Golf Course. Twilight rates all day plus a cookout at the turn. Call 904-310-3175 to book your required tee time.
