As another Pirate football season comes to an end, senior players agreed to sit down with their moms and make one more playful ges-ture of appreciation and gratitude. After years of being their No. 1 cheerleader, through the hot Pop Warner days, the first real games of middle school competition and then the Friday night lights with Pirate varsity football, these moms will be forever cheering them on as they go to the next chapter of their lives. Senior Appreciation Night is tonight, final home game for the seniors. Fernandina Beach High School (3-5) hosts Baker County. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
The Pirates cap the regular season Nov. 3 at Middleburg. Yulee is home tonight, too. The Hornets are hosting West Nassau for homecoming.
