The Hornets keep writing history, beating Bishop Kenny Wednesday night in their latest chapter. The Yulee High School boys soccer team (18-2-1) beat host Kenny 2-1 in the Region 1-4A championship. Yulee scored 16 minutes into Wednesday’s match. The Crusaders answered with 26 minutes to play. Yulee scored the game-winning goal with three minutes left in the match. The Hornets are in the Final Four and play Saturday in the state semifinal match. Yulee, the fourth seed, takes on top-seed Gulliver Prep (14-4-2) at 7 p.m. at Tropical Park in Miami. The 4A championship game is at 7:05 p.m. Thursday. The Hornets, back-to-back district champs, captured their first playoff victory in school history this season.
