Poe Pinson is in Paris, preparing the 2024 Olympics. Back at home, her community is sharing its pride and showing its support.
The Friends of the Fernandina Skatepark is selling Go Poe! signs for $25 each so businesses or individuals can show their support and contribute to Pinson’s trip.
David’s Restaurant, where Pinson works, is offering the Golden Poe cocktail, and a portion of the proceeds also benefit Pinson and her family.
The Amelia Island Brewing Company is offering the Skater-Ade as its featured cocktail through July 28, the date Pinson competes in Paris. AIBC is contributing $2 from every drink and $1 from every pretzel sold to the Fernandina Beach Skate Park in honor of Pinson.
Mocama Beer Company is hosting an Olympic watch party starting at 6 a.m. on July 28. Doors open at 5:45 a.m.
Friends of Fernandina Skatepark is also planning to celebrate Pinson upon her return. The Olympic Homecoming Parade is slated for 6 p.m. Aug. 9 at Central Park.
