If you’ve been looking for an excuse to take a break from cooking and enjoy some of the best food local restaurants have to offer, wait no longer. Restaurant Week 2023 is upon us.  The Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau presents the 15th annual Amelia Island Restaurant Week today, Jan. 20, through Sunday, Jan. 29, featuring 26 participating restaurants.

Amelia Island’s 15th annual Restaurant Week is a 10-day culinary showcase, featuring special events and savory prix-fixe menus for lunch and dinner at 26 of the island’s most popular and award-winning restaurants. Prix-fixe menus start at $15 for lunch, and $25, $35 and $45 for dinner.

Restaurant Week kicked off with a special “Taking Root” Opening Dinner event at the Omni Amelia Island Resort Thursday, taking diners on a culinary journey of the cycle of plant growth, from seed to fruit.

Falling within Restaurant Week is the 2023 Winter Sip and Shop, hosted by Fernandina Beach Main Street. Today, more than 20 downtown retail shops will participate in the Sip and Shop event, offering attendees an insulated wine cup, wristband and map to locations they can enjoy wines while they shop.

Amelia Island Restaurant Week closes with the  “Meet the Farmers Dinner,” a progressive dining experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island on Sunday, Jan. 29. The event includes a reception and dinner with farmer Lee Jones, owner of The Chef’s Garden, and other family purveyors who partner with The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.

First-time restaurant participants include Hofbrau Amelia, The Patio at 5th and Ash and The Sound Café. A full list of menus, restaurant listings and special event information is available online at AmeliaIsland.com/yummy.
