The city’s annual street resurfacing project began March 14 and is expected to take 3-4 weeks to complete. This year’s project will involve the milling and resurfacing of nearly 3.3 miles of city streets.

The five-year resurfacing schedule is created by analytic data provided by the software Roadbotics, which is reviewed and prioritized by staff.

All yard debris, garbage carts and vehicles on these specific roads must be moved off the road. Affected residents may need to make other parking arrangements during this timeframe. Schedule may change slightly due to weather and other conditions outside the city’s control.

Door hangers will continue to be placed on those homes and businesses that will be immediately impacted.

Week two schedule:

Today, March 22: Date Street from South Eighth to South Ninth, Indigo Street from South Seventh to South Eighth, Jasmine from South Seventh to South Eighth.

March 23-24: North Ninth from Alachua to Broome, North 13th from Alachua to Broome, North Thirteenth from Alachua to Broome, North 13th from Alachua to Broome.

March 24: Broome from North 13th to North 14th.

Questions may be directed to the Public Works-Operations Department at 904-310-3310.
