Public Libraries are in the business of disseminating information.  Our mission is to help community residents reach their personal and professional goals by offering tools and training.  One great tool when trying to improve your digital literacy is DigitalLearn.org.

In today's rapidly advancing world, digital literacy has become an essential skill set for individuals of all ages. With technology permeating every aspect of our lives, from communication to education and employment, it is imperative that everyone has the knowledge and skills to navigate the digital landscape. Recognizing this need, organizations like DigitalLearn.org have emerged to bridge the gap and empower communities with the necessary digital skills for success.

DigitalLearn.org, a leading online platform, offers free training resources and tutorials designed to help individuals build their digital literacy. The initiative focuses on providing accessible and user-friendly content, ensuring that even those who have limited experience with technology can gain confidence and proficiency. By addressing the barriers to digital literacy, DigitalLearn.org is transforming lives and opening doors to new opportunities.
DigitalLearn.org provides comprehensive modules covering a range of topics, including basic computer skills, internet safety, online job searching, and social media usage. Through interactive lessons and self-paced courses, users can learn at their own convenience and pace, making digital literacy accessible to all. Moreover, digital literacy plays a crucial role in employability. Many jobs now require basic computer proficiency, and having advanced digital skills can significantly enhance one's job prospects. DigitalLearn.org's employment-focused tutorials, covering topics such as resume building, and online job applications, empower job seekers to present themselves effectively in the digital realm. By equipping individuals with the necessary skills, DigitalLearn.org is helping to bridge the digital divide in the job market.

DigitalLearn.org is a great resource to get you started on your digital learning journey.  If, however, you need a more hands-on approach, set up an appointment at the library for our free one-on-one technology help appointments. At this appointment, you will be paired up with a technology expert who can assist you with things like help on using Microsoft Word, teaching about your handheld devices, etc. These services are offered at our Fernandina Beach, Hilliard and Callahan branches. You can schedule an appointment at nassaureads.com or by calling your preferred library at (904) 530-6500.

Anyone can learn to use new technology. It just takes desire and sometimes a little bit of help. If we can assist you on your journey, please let us know!
