Be content with what we have

In keeping our lives free from the love of money and to be content with what we have because God promised never will He leave us and never forsake us, we can say with confidence the Lord is my helper, we will not be afraid.

The reason God spoke through His words and by His spirit is so we can declare and decree His position in our lives. He talks to us to position us and to secure us. When we say anything based on what He has said, confidence will surface every time. Our hearts will not fail us even though doubt may try to shake our minds from what our hearts already believe.

We must allow words that proceed from our mouths to find foundation in what God has already spoken in a promise to us. Speaking with confidence and patiently waiting will result in the manifestation of our desired request or petition. The choice never to quit always guarantees victory for those who patiently endure to the end. We do not win because we enter the race. We do not win because the finish line is in view. In this race of the spirit, we win because we finally cross over the line, even if we are not the first.

Too often we cease running because it appears that another has crossed the finish line first. We throw in the towel because others were first to win the award we thought we deserved. We stop praising God because a loved one has died. We sit down and refuse to go on because another person seems better prepared and equipped for the task.

Instead of looking around at the others in the race, we need to look at the one who created and equipped us for it. God said to follow His lead and say who He is according to what He has spoken to us in the work or in our spirit. When we base our saying on His promise to us, we can pick up the prize because it is ours.

The family of the late Bro. Hampy L. Ancrum Jr. thank you for the part you played during the hours of their bereavement. Please keep them in your prayers.
