The Fernandina Beach Women’s Golf Association had its annual club championship and handicap tournament May 9 and May 16.

In 2022, the Men’s Golf Association at the Golf Club of Amelia Island held its first-ever President’s Cup.

On Tuesday, May 9, the Amelia National Ladies Golf Association closed out its 2022-23 season with a scramble and luncheon. There are currently 38 members in the LGA, above.

The Hornets won both of its matchups Friday night. The Yulee High School beat Wolfson 14-0 and Tocoi Creek 5-0 in the spring out-ing.

The Fernandina Beach High School football team traveled to Ribault Thursday night to play in its spring game. The FBHS Pirates lost to the host Trojans. FBHS is back in action Aug.

Fantastic Gymnastics had 35 girls qualify for the state championships in Lakeland and Wesley Chapel. The gymnasts are currently training for the next level.

The Fernandina Beach Middle School track and field team sent 14 athletes to the state track meet May 12 and 13 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, with some recording personal bests and setting new school

Yulee High School had six student-athletes sign national letters of intent May 12 to compete on the collegiate level.

The Fernandina Beach High School football team practiced Monday afternoon as it prepares for its spring matchup. The FBHS Pirates play at Ribault Thursday. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

The season came to an end on their home field Tuesday, when the Pirates lost to Wolfson 6-2 in a Region 1-3A quarterfinal matchup.
