Margaret Corbeil, 91, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., passed away February 22, 2020 at her home.
She was born October 16, 1928 in Detroit, Mich. and was marred to Robert Corbeil for 54 years before his death in 2007.
In addition to her love of family, Margaret was passionate about education. She worked for many years at the University Liggett School in Michigan and, together with Robert, assured that all of her sons attended an institution of higher learning. Margaret’s passions also included watercolor painting, reading, and laughing! Her positive attitude and smile were what people will most remember about her. One of her favorite sayings was ”I get up everyday, put my feet on the ground and thank the Lord”!
She is survived by her four sons, Paul (Deborah), Stephen (Mary Kay), David (Rosana), and James (Lynn). Of her many blessings in life were her four grandchildren, Ellyse, John (Ashley), Mark, Evan (Anke), Michael, and Alexander. She was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Lyra.
At her request, a private family ceremony will be held in her honor later in the year at her beloved Lexington Heights, Mich. beach location.
